FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE DO YOU PARK THE TRAILER FOR THE SLUMBER PARTY PACKAGE?

We will need at least 35 feet of flat, clear space on your property or in front of your home to park the trailer.  Towing vehicle will be disconnected from the trailer, but will still need room to maneuver trailer into its space.  Most customers have enough space in front of their home and driveway.  If the trailer will be blocking a neighbor's driveway, we ask for written permission from them.  Event locations must be approved by us prior to final confirmation.  If the day of the event a Slumber Shack employee feels the location is not safe for parking, we will try to find a new parking location if possible.

CAN YOU PARK IN MY BACK YARD IF I HAVE AN RV GATE?

If there is enough room to maneuver to the RV gate, we can back straight back through an RV gate that has an opening at least 12 feet wide when fully open.  The area in your yard directly behind the gate needs to be completely clear and at least 35 feet long by 15 feet wide in order to accommodate the slide out on one side and the door on the other side.  

CAN YOU PARK AT APARTMENT COMPLEXES?

We cannot park at apartment complexes.  Due to their insurance and ours we are not able to park at apartment or condo complexes.  

IS THERE A LOCK ON THE TRAILER?

The trailer is a home on wheels, there is a deadbolt lock on the door. Once we disconnect we add a heavy duty hitch lock that prevents any access to the hitch.  We add wheel locks to prevent the wheels from moving in addition to traditional chocks.  You may also park your vehicle in front of the trailer for added security, however it is not necessary or required.  

DOES THE SLUMBER SHACK HAVE A BATHROOM?

Yes, the trailer will be all set for dry camping, with a full water tank for water and an empty black and gray tank for toilet flushing and sink water drainage.  We highly encourage Slumber Parties to not take showers as there is a high likelihood that you will run out of water.  

 

DO I NEED A PERMIT FOR THE TRAILER?

For Slumber Party Packages at your home, the customer is responsible for securing any permission needed from HOAs or any permits needed for parking of the trailer.  The trailer will be on your property for less than 24 hours, about 17.  Permits are usually only needed in no parking areas.   

DO YOU NEED ELECTRICAL, WATER OR RV HOOK UPS?

We do not need  RV hook ups for over night Slumber Parties, just the use of one, possibly two outlets.  The trailer will be all set for dry camping, with a full water tank for water and an empty black and gray tank for toilet flushing and sink water drainage. 

Campground Glamping trips will need at least water and electric hookups and long term rentals of 3 days or more will need full RV hook ups that we will set up and break down for you. 

DO YOU HAVE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

For Slumber Party Packages, we require for all occupants of the trailer to be at least 8 years of age or older and there must be at least one supervising adult with them at all times.  There are no minimum age requirements for occupants for Campground Glamping Trips, or Long term packages, however there still must be at least one supervising adult with any minors at all times.  Person responsible for renting the trailer must be at least 25 years of age.  

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN THE TRAILER?

There is a maximum amount of 10 people allowed in the trailer at any time, socializing or sleeping. 

WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER?

For your safety, we reserve the right to cancel an event due to extreme weather conditions unsafe for trailer use.  We will try our best to reschedule at a safer time but if a reschedule cannot be agreed upon a refund will be provided. 

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

We require a deposit in the amount of $150 to hold your rental date(s).  The remaining balance will be charged upon delivery and set up of the trailer.  We also require a security deposit of $250 as a credit card hold, that will be released after your event if there is no damage to trailer or its contents.

 

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

All cancellations must be made at least 2 weeks before the date of the event to receive a full refund.
